There's something about a true friend that is irreplaceable. Connie and I often laugh about how ours began. We passed by each other at work one morning and both had the same thought: There's no way we will ever be friends. We judged each other and never thought twice about it. Fast forward a year and a half: I had just had my third baby and my husband was sent away for work shortly after, I was on my own with three little ones with no family around. As if she could hear my silent cry for help, Connie dropped off a HUGE pot of chili and a box of clothes for my new daughter. I remember crying after I opened the door because I was so touched by her kindness. Connie very quickly became a close friend, someone who is always there for me and sees me (and my house) at it's worst. She's always there when I need to talk, cry or laugh and has helped me through some of the hardest days I've had to date. We now have a successful business together and share many meals and memories with Connie and Co! I'm so thankful she came over that day with chili and clothes because she is the friend I didn't know I needed. So, don't be so quick to judge. You never know what that person can become to you.
